Space Station Museum
The Space Station Museum in Novato houses a large private collection of U.S., Russian and Soviet space exploration artifacts. It is located in the Pacheco Plaza, a shopping center located in the upscale Ignacio neighborhood of Novato. From Dominican University of California, the drive is approximately 10 minutes.

Although the museum is small, it is not lacking interesting and fascinating displays. The volunteer-staffed museum is unique in that visitors get to actually touch artifacts from the Space Station’s extensive collection that made the long journey into space. The staff is passionate, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about educating visitors.

The museum is open two days out of the week: Saturday and Sunday from 12 - 4 pm and admission and parking are free, making it a very student-friendly museum. In addition, the museum also holds a variety of special events including nighttime telescope viewings, meet and greets, and movie nights.
